About the Formula:

Originally developed by Dr. Stephan M. Tanner and Allen Repashy, this formula combines delicious ingredients such as Papaya, Mango, Organic Banana, and Fig with easily digestible proteins from Black Soldier Fly, Krill, and Squid. Designed to mimic the bounty found in flooded rainforest ecosystems, this gel is perfect for a variety of fish species, including tetras, catfishes, cichlids, and more.

Directions:

  1. Preparation: Bring water to a boil using a stove, microwave, or kettle.
  2. Mixing: In a bowl, pour boiling water over the powder at a ratio of 1 part powder to 2-3 parts water. Stir immediately.
  3. Setting: Allow the mixture to cool or pour it into molds. The gel will set at room temperature.
  4. Storage: Once made, treat the gel as fresh food. It can be vented and refrigerated for up to two weeks or frozen for up to six months.

Jerky Option:

For a slow-release feeding option:

  1. Prepare the gel as above and pour it into a deep container.
  2. Cut the gel into ¼ inch thick slices and dry in an oven or dehydrator at 150 °F (65 °C) for 8-12 hours.

Refrigeration will extend the freshness of the gel, ensuring your fish receive the best possible nutrition.
