Directions:

1. Preparation: Bring water to a boil using a stove, microwave, or kettle.
2. Mixing: In a bowl, pour boiling water over the powder at a ratio of 1 part powder to 2-3 parts water. Stir immediately.
3. Setting: Allow the mixture to cool or pour it into molds. The gel will set at room temperature.
4. Storage: Once made, treat the gel as fresh food. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or frozen for up to six months.

Jerky Option:

For a slow-release option:

1. Prepare the gel as above and pour it into a deep container.
2. Cut into ¼ inch thick slices and dry in an oven or dehydrator at 150 °F (65 °C) for 8-12 hours.
