Vallisneria spreads quickly by producing runner shoots. These new plantlets can be left to form dense clusters or separated and replanted to expand coverage across the background or sides of your tank.
Due to its rapid growth, occasional trimming may be needed to prevent it from overshadowing other plants. Vallisneria can tolerate a wide range of water conditions and is especially effective for reducing algae by outcompeting excess nutrients.
