Cryptocoryne Albida Red is a colour variation of the standard Cryptocoryne wendtii which in turn is one of the most popular Crypts. As with other variations, it is adaptable to most conditions and the conditions in which it lives will often affect its form.
Natural History
Cryptocoryne wendtii is a species of herb which is a popular aquarium plant which is native to Sri Lanka. It was described by Dutch botanist Hendrik de Wit in honour of aquarium hobbyist and writer Albert Wendt.
Pro Tips
When grown in an open space with sufficient light the leaves will virtually lie on the bottom. In other conditions, the leaves will grow more upright.
