The leaves of Limnophila hippuridoides are green with a red-violet underside. The whole leaf turns red-violet under ideal growing conditions. A vigorously growing plant that willingly creates new, solid shoots from the base.
Natural History
A beautiful stem plant from the Malayan peninsula, often erroneously called Limnophila aromatica. It is closely related to L. aromatica and L. aromaticoides. In botanical literature it has hitherto been treated as species in its own right.

Thin out the oldest and longest shoots to make room for such new shoots. Replant the cuttings and they will soon grow new roots.
