Care Guide:
- Lighting: Java Fern thrives in low to moderate lighting conditions. Avoid exposing it to intense, direct light, as this can lead to algae growth and damage the plant.
- Water Parameters: Maintain stable water parameters for optimal growth. Ideal conditions include a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5, water temperature between 68°F to 82°F (20°C to 28°C), and moderate water flow.
- Fertilization: While Java Fern can absorb nutrients from the water column, supplementing with a liquid fertilizer designed for aquarium plants can promote healthier growth. However, avoid overdosing, as Java Fern is sensitive to high nutrient levels.
- Propagation: Java Fern propagates readily through rhizome division. Simply separate the rhizome and attach the new plantlet to the desired surface to encourage growth.
