Echinodorus ‘Kleiner Prinz’ (German for “Little Prince”) is a compact sword plant prized for its rich red to reddish-brown foliage and manageable size. Compared to larger Echinodorus varieties, ‘Kleiner Prinz’ remains shorter and more contained, making it well suited for midground or centerpiece use without overpowering the aquarium.
As the plant matures under stable conditions, its broad leaves deepen in colour, creating a bold contrast against green plants and darker substrates. This variety is especially popular in Aquascapes where a strong focal plant is desired without the scale of traditional sword plants.

Acclimation Note: Some older leaves may shed as the plant adjusts to a new aquarium environment. This is normal. Healthy roots and new leaf growth indicate successful establishment.
