Bucephalandra is a rhizome plant and should not have its rhizome buried beneath the substrate. Burying the rhizome can restrict water circulation around it and may eventually cause the plant to rot.
Instead, position Bucephalandra 'Sintang' directly onto aquarium driftwood or stone. The plant can initially be secured using aquarium-safe glue, thread, or fishing line. Over time, its roots can naturally grip the surface of the hardscape.
Bucephalandra 'Sintang' is particularly effective when placed in cracks and natural pockets throughout driftwood and stone. Its compact growth helps soften hardscape edges while maintaining the detailed structure of the aquascape.
