Anubias Nana 'Petite' on Wood is a compact, ready-to-place aquarium plant featuring the miniature foliage of Anubias barteri var. nana 'Petite' already established on a small piece of natural wood. With a typical overall size of approximately 2" × 2", it is perfect for adding instant greenery to nano aquariums, shrimp tanks, foregrounds, and detailed aquascapes.
Anubias Nana Petite is one of the smallest and most popular Anubias varieties. Its tiny, rounded dark green leaves create a mature appearance at a much smaller scale than standard Anubias Nana, making it particularly useful where larger epiphyte plants would overwhelm the aquascape.
Because the Anubias is already attached to wood, there is no need to plant it into the substrate or attach it yourself. Simply position the piece in your aquarium and incorporate it into your existing hardscape.

One of the biggest advantages of this product is convenience. Anubias Nana Petite naturally grows as an epiphyte, but attaching small plants to hardscape yourself can be delicate work. With this piece, the plant is already attached to wood and ready for placement.
Simply position the wood where you want it in the aquarium. It can be placed directly on the substrate, nestled between stones, positioned beside larger pieces of driftwood, or incorporated into an existing hardscape.
The approximately 2" × 2" footprint makes Anubias Nana Petite on Wood particularly useful in smaller aquariums. It provides the appearance of established planted hardscape without dominating a nano layout.
It is also an excellent choice for freshwater shrimp aquariums. The Anubias leaves, roots, and textured wood provide additional surfaces where natural biofilm can develop, while the compact footprint leaves plenty of open space for shrimp to forage and explore.
The miniature foliage of Nana Petite is especially valuable when creating a sense of scale. Place the piece near the foreground, beside small stones, or around the base of larger hardscape to add fine detail and make the surrounding wood and rockwork appear larger and more established.
For larger aquariums, several pieces can be positioned throughout the foreground and hardscape to create repeating pockets of dark green foliage. Nana Petite also pairs beautifully with Bucephalandra, mosses, Java Fern, carpeting plants, and other Anubias varieties.
No injected CO₂ is required. Anubias Nana Petite is well suited to low-tech planted aquariums and can grow successfully under relatively modest lighting.
Because Anubias grows slowly, avoid unnecessarily intense lighting directly over the plant. Moderate conditions and consistent maintenance can help keep the slow-growing leaves clean while new foliage gradually develops.
