Spathiphyllum Wallisii, more commonly known as a Peace Lily is a marsh plant originating from Central America. Peace Lilies are not true aquatic plants and it is not recommended to permanently submerge the plant. Spathiphyllum Wallisii will do best when grown in a terrarium or paludarium setup where its roots can stay moist. It requires medium to high lighting and is a relatively slow grower. If taken care of well, Peace Lilies can bloom twice a year and their flowers are a beautiful sight to see. Propagation is also simple and can be done by separating the rhizome and replanting. Although this plant is not a true lily and is not poisonous, care should be taken when handling as it can cause some discomfort if ingested. Keep this plant out of the reach of children and pets as well!
